Dr Linda Yang is a highly experienced gastroenterologist, endoscopist, and clinician-researcher with a senior medical appointment at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne. She is also a senior lecturer at the University of Melbourne and is actively involved in clinical research, with a focus on inflammatory bowel disease and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in endoscopy.
Linda completed her specialist gastroenterology and post-fellowship training at St Vincent’s Hospital. She brings a unique hybrid skill set with advanced subspecialty training in endoscopy, inflammatory bowel diseases, and functional gut disorders. She plays a key role as a core member of the inflammatory bowel disease and interventional endoscopy units at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne.
Linda has published extensively on the quality of endoscopy and inflammatory bowel disease and holds a Doctor of Philosophy. In 2025, Linda was the lead author of the Australia and New Zealand Position Statement on Quality of Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Linda is also fluent in Korean, which is an area of need among Victorian gastroenterologists.
