What services do you offer at Mont Albert Specialist Centre?

We offer a wide range of specialist services, including cardiology and rheumatology. For a full list of our services and to learn more about each specialty, please visit our Services page.

How do I book an appointment?

You can book an appointment by calling us at 03 8820 6769, or by using our online booking form. Please visit our For Patients page for more details.

Do I need a referral to see a specialist?

Yes, in most cases, a referral from your general practitioner is required to see one of our specialists. Please check with your general practitioner or contact us for further assistance on referrals.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Please bring your Medicare/DVA card, your referral letter (if applicable), any relevant medical records, and a list of current medications for us to scan into your file. It’s also helpful to bring your private health card if applicable.

What types of insurance do you accept?

We do not process any private health cover claims at this clinic. If you are an overseas student or visitor and have overseas student/visitor health cover, we will provide you with the receipt once payment is made. You can submit it to your private health insurer for further claiming process.

If you are required to be admitted to a hospital for any procedure, the hospital team will do a private health cover check and inform you the outcome.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations made within this timeframe allow us to offer your spot to another patient.

A fee may be charged for failure to attend or cancellation at short notice.

How early should I arrive for my appointment?

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow time for check-in and any necessary paperwork to be completed.

Are there parking or public transportation options available?

Yes, we provide convenient on-site parking for patients. Our clinic is also accessible via public transportation routes; please refer to our Contact Us page for location details.

Do you have after-hours support?

For urgent medical concerns after hours, we recommend visiting the nearest emergency department. Please note that our specialists are available during standard business hours.

How do I get my test results?

Your specialist will review your test results and discuss them with you during your next visit. For certain cases, results may also be shared through secure electronic communication or by phone.
