Dr Matthew Jiang is a consultant rheumatologist based in Melbourne.
He graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2012 and completed his rheumatology specialist training at Western Health and the Royal Hobart Hospital.
He holds a public position at Western Health Footscray, where he is also involved as a supervisor for physician trainees and is an honorary Senior Lecturer with the University of Melbourne Clinical School. He is actively involved in rheumatology research and in the teaching of junior doctors and medical students.
He consults privately in rooms at Footscray and Richmond and sees rheumatology consults at Epworth Richmond and Freemasons.
He also sees rural/regional and interstate patients via telehealth through Telecare.
He is interested in the management of all aspects of rheumatic disease, including inflammatory arthritis, non-inflammatory musculoskeletal conditions and systemic autoimmune diseases.
His focus is on helping patients understand their disease and treatment, and working collaboratively with other clinicians to achieve the best care for his patients.
